-My introduction to web development began in 2009 during my college years, using Dreamweaver software.

-The first website I ever designed and developed was for a family friend who sold wooden flower pots.

-From my initial exposure to web development, I felt a strong passion for it. However, after creating my first website using Wix, I briefly believed that web developers might no longer be necessary due to the ease of building websites with Wix’s drag-and-drop page builder. Looking back, I wish I had spoken to someone who could have provided a deeper understanding of career paths in web development.

Here’s a more professional CV-style rewrite (UK English), keeping it concise but still personal:

My interest in web development began in 2009 during college, where I was introduced to building websites using Adobe Dreamweaver.

  • My first live project was a website for a family friend’s small business selling wooden flower pots, which gave me early experience delivering a real site for a real client.
  • Since then, I’ve continued to develop my skills through ongoing learning and hands-on projects, and I now focus on building modern, scalable websites that go beyond drag-and-drop builders.
  • Portfolio (early work): You can view some of my first business websites here: Mobile Haidresser, Martial Arts School

I’ve always been drawn to the creative side of technology. While I wasn’t naturally artistic as a child, web design became my way to build and create – much like working with Lego, but with the satisfaction of publishing something real that people can access online.

What motivates me most is the impact web development can have on small businesses and start-ups. I enjoy speaking with founders, understanding their goals, and turning that into practical, high-performing websites that improve visibility, user experience and conversions. Seeing a solution I’ve built make a measurable difference is what I find most rewarding.

I regularly tackle complex technical challenges and enjoy the problem-solving that comes with them. When I hit a blocker, I research thoroughly – using documentation, developer forums and community resources and test solutions until I resolve the issue.

This process keeps me motivated and continually improves my technical judgement, persistence and troubleshooting skills. I’m also driven by learning new tools and approaches, and I find real satisfaction in turning difficult problems into reliable, well-implemented solutions.

Participating in SUKHI222 project, was an experience beyond myself, and it felt deeply meaningful. I had the privilege of meeting people from around the globe and contributing to initiatives that made a difference in many lives. The sense of global collaboration and the impact we created together.

The website is still online, but I no longer develop or maintain it. Everything remains exactly as I left it – you can view it here: https://sukhi222.org/

In solving web development challenges, I begin by thoroughly understanding the problem, analysing its core issues, and considering its broader context. Once the problem is clear, I conduct extensive research, exploring existing solutions, best practices, and relevant technologies.

I stay up to date with industry trends through ongoing self-learning and regular hands-on experimentation. I follow web development and design content on YouTube, and I validate new techniques by checking official documentation and release notes before applying them to client projects.

I also keep current by:

  • Monitoring updates and changelogs for the tools I use (eg: WordPress, Elementor, plugins and hosting platforms)
  • Following developer communities and forums to learn best practices and real-world solutions
  • Using AI tools to speed up research, troubleshooting and content drafts, while always reviewing outputs to maintain quality, performance and security standards.

There will be days when you feel extremely lost and frustrated, and nothing seems to go your way.

It’s important not to give up, as these moments are a natural part of the journey. If you find yourself stuck, take a break, go for a walk, or even sleep on it; often, the solution will come to you. As the saying goes where I’m from: “Morning is wiser than the evening.”

I enjoy trekking annually and have made it a tradition. Weightlifting has been a passion since I was 16. Basketball is another favorite of mine, along with traveling and gastronomy.

I also have a coin collection and am an avid viewer of UFC and NBA games. Watching cooking videos, especially those featuring the meticulous preparation of meats and fish, is something I find incredibly therapeutic.
